Recently I have become aware of an underlying buzz. A feeling, call it a hunch. The tide is turning. And recent events seem to back up that feeling.
Take a look at this story from
truthout.Here are some quick exepts:
"They want the rubber stamp of dictatorship," said Senator Chuck Schumer. "They want one-party rule," said Senator Patrick Leahy.
"An ill wind blows through this country. Your freedom of speech is in jeopardy," said Senator Robert Byrd. "The opponents of the filibuster, the opponents of free speech say we don't need 217 years of American history."
Senators Harry Reid, Dick Durbin, Ted Kennedy, Barbara Boxer, and Hillary Clinton also took turns at the microphone to denounce a Republican "power grab." They were speaking on Wednesday at a rally organized by MoveOn.org.
Why is this positive you ask? Well, our people are fighting. Our people are starting to get together and figure this thing out. It can't be denied that finally facing up to the problem late is better than not facing it at all.
Ok that's one thing now check this out:

And This too:

This was today.
Why is this positive? Because, thousands and thousands of Americans all over the country protested today, and, I thank god there are that many people with more balls than me.
But, the most astounding thing that has awakened my positive outlook is the blogs. I have become totally convinced that there are more of us than them. That we can reach out to each other through blogs, email, and message boards, and share info. We are on the verge of a grass roots information and coordination system that will rock the vote.
How does it work, you might ask? Blog dammit, everyone must blog. Reach out and comment on other blogs that you like. Use the "Next Blog" button and let's get connected. Just today I found Grassroots Democrats in Georgia a blogger who just started posting today, and here is another PA Liberal.
Folks, on this blog there is a links section on the right side. There is a section full of blog links. These folks are just like us out there trying to connect. Check out their posts and comment on them. When you do, post a link to your blog, a liberal org, anything you care about. Together we can build a web of links across the whole country and eventually the world.
